We want an innocent childhood: A poem about War & Peace

by | Nov 24, 2023 | Poetry for Peace

We want an innocent childhood

We want innocent childhood

Hey Devastation! Halt!

Pull down your shuttle

This isn’t the season of abolition

Now is the period of emancipation

Debris can no longer be our destination

Enough has been played in the name of peace boat

Now enter this serenity road

Build a peace tunnel and craft something for this human channel

We want innocent childhood

Not missiles or bombs over our hoods

Don’t make a trade with our heads

We aren’t livestock animals or retail goods

We know you badly need sovereignty and flags

But before that design some peace tags

You need some mild breeze on top of your rough hills

Also some elegance that adds beauty to your moral shape

What is your rational merely owning a map?

You really need to learn how to bow down-

Before the day is down

You did enough to hold your crown

Devastation, for god’s sake, change your station

This human race is now a modern race

Now anarchy and war can’t be our destination

For god’s sake, now be creative

And bring us a new fascination

You see generation Z is here

For them annihilation has no light and gear

They love peace even there are

so much confusions inside their brain disk

They love brightness even the sky over their head is dark

Hey devastation! Halt!

For god’s sake, pull down your shuttle!
