The right of a dust: A poem by Somoy Shafi about War & Peace

The right of a dust

The right of a dust

From today, there won’t be any battle in this human jungle

Human or any other living beings-

I won’t hear the brutal death of any animals

Even any dust particles-

All will have rights to live peaceful without any tussles

From today, there won’t be any combat for country and flag

No human being will seize other human’s land

From today, no dream will die without landing

Small or big-

Each air molecule has a right to build their own dream house

From today, no caterpillar will die without being butterfly

This is my golden rule

Rational or irrational-

From today, every single earthworm may dream something big

No pocket gophers and rat moles will ever eat them

From today, all the seashells and ocean oysters will have the rights to become something

Nobody will prevent them

From today, the sky will never prevent anyone who wants to hold her arms

All can desire and wish anything

All are free from suffering

From today, anybody can become anything

Pearly gates will remain open all day long

From today, no dream will die without landing
