I can’t sleep: A Soothing Poem by Somoy Shafi For Gaza and Palestine
I can't sleep
I can’t sleep with the agony of the breeze
Even for the suffering of a dust,
I face hardship to fall asleep
I don’t know how the sky tolerates all these
Every single pain moves my human chain
Every single torture shows me a horror picture
How will I soothe my inner booth?
I don’t know how the sky tolerates all these
For the game of county and map,
some are holding live massacre and carnage
Devastation is their passion
Occupancy is their profession
And havoc is their festival
Glory, my bones and marrows tremble
My existence is clogged
Come down here, O peace!
I don’t know how the sky tolerates all these
